Role Overview
The Project Delivery Manager is responsible for leading the organisation to achieve the end-to-end delivery of BlendOpt models and model enhancements for Paradyn’s mining clients. Concurrently delivering to multiple clients you coach for effective delivery, supporting and mentoring team members to consistently improve Agile delivery practices.
This position manages projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation. As Project Delivery Manager you build collaborative relationships with clients for effective client-expectation management.
As a maturing and growing business, it is expected that this role contributes to improving BlendOpt project and service delivery and quality outcomes for clients and Paradyn alike.
Responsibilities
To support delivery of our managed software solutions for our clients, you:
- Manage project initiation activities including aligning success factors, scope and expectations across all stakeholders
- Plan projects, including engaging with key stakeholders, to develop and communicate realistic plans that accommodate interdependencies of tasks and team capabilitiess
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to allocate the appropriate resources, both in terms of personnel and technological assets, required for model configurations
- Provide regular updates to senior management and key stakeholders regarding project progress, challenges, and achievements. Present complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Identify potential risks and roadblocks in the configuration and delivery process, proactively implement mitigation strategies, and ensure the project stays on track and within budget
- Foster strong project delivery team collaboration with stakeholders, including client participants, to maintain strong alignment, shared vision and successful project execution
- Apply our existing project delivery tools and draw upon your knowledge and experience with a wide range of project management tools to improve, streamline and simplify quality project delivery outcomes while effectively managing risks and stakeholder expectations
Technical and other requirements
Essential:- Work as a team member to ‘pitch in’ and deliver results on time, working across multiple activities in variable contexts
- Support the well-being of members and staff, including upholding EEO and WHS principles and practices
- Tertiary degree in engineering, management or related discipline
- Proven planning and project management skills
- Strong research, analytical and problem solving ability
- Ability to evaluate and review outcomes, standards, practices, policies and develop and implement budget and funding initiatives
- Management and leadership experience
- Broad stakeholder engagement and relationship management
- High level written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Software engineering tertiary qualification
- PMP, PMBOK, ITIL, Agile, Prince2 or similar experience/qualifications
- A track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Familiarity with the mining industry
- Excellent technical acumen, enabling effective communication and collaboration with technical teams
- Evidence of the ability to understand the challenges related to the real-world application of plans and workflows
- Initiative and tact
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word,Excel and PowerPoint
Terms and remuneration
Negotiable starting salary which is commensurate value you add and your experience. Contract or full-time or part-time role, and flexible hours. Payment is every two weeks. Flexible commencement, ideally asap.
Paradyn are specialists at virtual, geographically distributed project delivery. We've all been working from home well before COVID hit, and that's the way we roll. So, don't expect any to 'return to the office' conversations.
